The Dornier 328-100 is a very reliable aircraft in commercial aviation. Further development of the Dornier 228 began as early as 1988. The first flight of the new Dornier 328-100 aircraft type took place in 1991, with certification in 1993. There are currently around 100 aircraft in service worldwide. Private Wings has been successfully using this aircraft type since 2003 and operates the world’s largest Dornier 328-100 fleet.
The Dornier 328 is the best choice for carrying up to 32 passengers. The comfortable cabin of the fast Dornier turboprop offers plenty of room and seats with good legroom. Thanks to good noise protection technology, you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing journey.
Our Dorniers are RVSM (Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum) certified and are therefore able to fly in higher air layers. This allows a greater range to be achieved. The Dornier 328 has an excellent take-off and landing performance and can approach short runways easily (e.g. Freiburg, Schönhagen and Kiel). Hence, we can fly to regional airports in addition to large commercial airports. In short, we are always impressed about our ‘Do’.
The manufacturer made headlines in 2019 when it announced its intention to further develop the Dornier 328 and will produce at Leipzig-Halle Airport. Private Wings is the launch customer for the new Dornier 328eco.
